Regional GM BD & Strategic Account Mgt – Contract Logistics

Managing and leading Strategy Account Development activity for a small number of Global Brand clients, this role is about extracting closer engagement at a global HQ level with these key accounts and leveraging best practice supply chain opportunities to enhance their business performance and grow the range of services offer to them.

Based in Singapore, the roles primary purpose is the strategic and tactical development of new business opportunities from a range of key global Contract Logistics accounts and the execution / management of a performance based sales strategy that includes coordinating all Supply Chain Development activities across the region and management of opportunities within these large accounts.

Playing a sales leadership role in the global business development organisation, your role will be the entry point for Global initiatives and bridge with other business units to coordinate actions and generate opportunities in Contract Logistics and cross sell other products. You will identify new products opportunities and develop creative supply chain solutions to fulfill customer needs whilst building strong relationship with key contacts / executives within customer organizations to understand commercial opportunities to create value.

You will be a highly performance focused sales professional who brings with them a track record in Contract Logistics Business Development leadership in the Asia region and will be success driven.

At a minimum you will have;

  • Minimum of 10 years+ National or Regional sales & account management experience with a 3PL / Contract Logistics service provider or similar sales role with a proven track record of success in business development for contract Logistics.
  • Able to initiate senior level meetings and lead from the front in the marketplace.
  • Be able to demonstrate a solid understanding and experience of the theory and practice of Supply Chain Management, Transportation Management and Supply Chain Solutions.
  • Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Logistics, Operation Management, or Business Administration of any field.
  • Ability to provide clear direction to operations support staff to gather necessary data and implement the right solution.
  • Good understanding of regional culture and working environment
  • Strong leadership behavior traits and a desire to success.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills in multi-tasks environment.
  • Staff management experience, including negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel (up to 70%).
