You will be leading a finance team and yourscope of work will also entail supervision and review of current financialsystems and processes with a focus on improving effectiveness and efficiencywithin the organisation. FINANCIAL CONTROLLER

(Location: Tannery Road)

 

The Financial Controller is responsible for the finance, tax and treasury activities of the company which include:

• Responsible for the full spectrum of finance and accounting matters, including consolidation, monthly accounts closing, management reporting, tax and corporate secretarial functions.
• Responsible for all tax administration and compliance matters including tax advisory, filing annual tax returns and GST/Business Tax returns, with-holding tax reporting and etc.
• Prepare and issue, on a timely and accurate basis, regular monthly variance analysis and management accounts and financial reports.
• Responsible for annual statutory audit and preparation of annual accounts/reports for compliance with local government regulations.
• Treasury matters, including cashflow planning & requirements.
• Manage the Company’s payments and receivables.
• Manage a team of accounting staff to ensure the accurate and timely financial and management reporting including budget preparation and forecasting.
• Establish and maintain the Company’s internal controls, including the development and implementation of financial guidelines, policies and procedures.
• Review work processes, policies and procedures, identify areas of improvement and rectify internal control weaknesses.
• Liaise with banks, external auditors, internal auditors, tax authorities and external parties as required to ensure compliance with relevant legislations.

 

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Accounting or equivalent, CPA preferred
• Minimum 5 years experience in accounting and finance functions
• Audit experience is an added advantage
• A self-starter with tremendous initiative, drive and passion who believes that nothing-is-impossible and will not settle for second best
• Must be a hands-on, hardworking, and results-oriented individual
• Meticulous, creative, inquisitive, resourceful team player with excellent interpersonal, communication and project management skills
• Able to work under pressure and tight schedule in a dynamic working environment and with minimal supervision
• Possess strong computer (particularly Excel) and analytical skills
• Good values, high degree of personal integrity
• Good teamwork skills
• Able to work with senior management levels in an organisation
