Field Service Engineer

Dept: Service Ogranization

Report To: Territory Service Manager

Location: Taiwan/Singapore/Korea/China

1. Service

  • Implement the Customer Support Policy for the Nova \ OEM \ End User. Supervise, maintain and support Nova systems in the field.
  • Support Nova, OEM partners, and End Users internal service as defined under Novas warranty and service support agreements.
  • Maintain, support, and guide proper training to all users, including OEM and End User personnel. (Training will be provided, in most cases, by an engineer dedicated to training).
  • Maintain proper reporting methods for all activities of customer support as defined by the Territory Service Manager/AP Customer Support Manager.
  • Maintain Novas parts inventory under the positions control. Maintain proper level of stock in accordance with Novas spare parts tock policy, as set from time to time.
  • Assist in new equipment integration, add-ons, and upgrades.
  • Act as site management; provide feedback to related personnel, AP and headquarters based on experience gained with customers.
  • On site, data collection, wafer and tool time arrangement, solution in-corporation and measurement result monitoring and verification
  • It is your duty from the time you come back from Ltd 1st  training to prepare application solution request in a uniform format to be sent to respective application engineer
  1. use NAD to view a stack and do T/S for simple application issues
  2. prepare an application request in NAD format  with all data need

2. Sales Support:

  • Collaborate with sales and customer on-site evaluations
  • Assist Novas OEM partners and sales people in demonstration Novas system capabilities to potential customers.
  • Provide sales support and sales related information

3. Reports and controls:

*Employ FSRs for all service activities.

*Produce a weekly report on assigned customers/system covering:

  1. systems status
  2. Pareto chart
  3. The forwarding of all FSRs
  4. Customers relevant information
  5. Sales support issue
  6. Inventory consumption and levels (monthly)

4. Training:

  • Provide customer training and retraining. Ensure an adequate level of customers know how.

5. Inventory:



  • Manage Novas parts inventory at the locations assigned to this position.
  • Assist in setting Novas spare parts stock policy, and maintain proper levels of stock in accordance with that policy.
  • Repair parts and components according to general service policy.
  • Verify that spare systems are stored properly by customers and are available without delay when needed.

6. Customer Relations:

  • Be familiar with customer operating methods, procedures, and policy.
  • Adhere to customers site policies and guidelines with regard to performance and behavior.
  • Maintain customers information with the utmost confidentiality.
  • When in doubt, always verify with and obtain approval from the proper customer authority prior to taking any action.
  • Be polite, cordial, considerate, and respectful when communicating with customers.

7. Boundaries:

  • Perform at all times within the boundaries of all applicable laws.
  • Perform with the highest degree of integrity and dignity.
  • Perform at all times within the boundaries of Novas service procedures and manuals.
  • Perform at all times within the boundaries of Novas company policy

Qualification:

  • Prior experience in semiconductor Industry and especially in CMP would be an advantage (0 – 5 years)

Education:

  • Minimum Diploma/Degree relating to Semiconductor / Engineering Industry

Languages:

  • Ability to Converse, Read and write in English a MUST
