We are seeking a young and motivated investment professional to support the investment team for due diligence and monitoring of direct investment opportunities. The said candidate, likely in his late 20′s or early 30′s, will be relocated to Shanghai. The candidate must be a self-starter and possess:

  • Strong in accounting and financial management
  • Knowledge or hands-on experience of capital market operations will be an added advantage
  • Fluent in the Chinese language; both written and spoken – to liaise with client from China
  • Possess a Degree in Accountancy or Engineering with good accounting / financial background.  Those without such qualifications but has relevant certifications or experience can also apply

Job Purpose

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Manage the financial outlook and result process for the unit including sales, costs and operating expenses

Office Manger (Location : Singapore)

The Role

The role holder will be an integral member of Wood Mackenzies Singapore team consisting of over 60 people, providing office management services to the entire office, co-ordinating the activities of the specific team administrators, providing admin support for specific client events and deliverables and also providing administration services to the Regional Director, HR, Finance and IT teams.  Working in a large team will mean that the ability to prioritise workload is essential. 

Main Responsibilities:

Office Management

  • Ensure day-to-day efficient operations of theSingaporeoffice
  • Office travel duties – liaison with local travel agents to ensure best practice, negotiate corporate hotel rates and administer credit card applications
  • Act as HSE liaison with building managers and Wood Mackenzie internal stakeholders
  • Co-ordinate office supplies, for example, stationery and pantry supplies
  • Manage the itineraries and travel of visiting staff from outside the region, where appropriate
  • Provide office orientation for new starts
  • Manage the internal intranet page for theSingaporeoffice
  • Support office renovations/refurbishments in-conjunction with other key stakeholders
  • Liaise with internal departments based in other Wood Mackenzie offices

Administrator Management

  • Co-ordinate the locally based administrators ensuring that business teams are adequately supported
  • Ensure efficient processes including organising regular meetings and managing any overflow workload
  • Train new administrators as and when required
  • Coach and support regional administrators outsideSingaporeto ensure consistent operations
  • Provide ad-hoc back-up support to other local Administrators & reception when required

Administration Support – Client Projects

  • Provide proactive administrative support for client-specific projects in close co-ordination with Project Managers and teams
  • Duties will include managing travel for Wood Mackenzie staff, co-ordination of timely printing and despatch of materials to client locations through liaison with internal project teams and external vendors, and liaison with Project Managers to address any foreseeable challenges
  • Ongoing management of processes and templates to ensure consistency and back-up procedures are in place

Candidates should be confident, outgoing and professional with at least 5 years experience of working in an office management role.  Experience of co-ordinating and managing other admin staff is a key requirement.  Ideally, the candidate should have experience in a multi-faceted environment and must also enjoy working in an intensive environment where tight deadlines are a regular occurrence.  Excellent organization skills are essential to succeed in this position as well as the ability to prioritise effectively.  Proficiency in MS Office applications is essential.
